Bowman provided topographic surveying services for the purposes of providing a complete inventory of all the improvements around the perimeter of the existing Debus Center Building at Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex. The resulting map was used as a basis for the architectural and civil design of an expansion of the Debus Center building for the proposed Heroes and Legends Exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s Complex. This project presented special challenges to the Bowman team. Crews worked around the Visitor’s Centers public hourly schedule to tie the current field work into historic control so that newly acquired data could be integrated into an overall base map of the facility.
