Bowman provided design engineering services for the reconstruction of the East West Connector between the Tri-State (I-294) Tollway and Reagan Memorial (I-88) Tollway in DuPage County, Illinois. The work generally encompasses roadway and bridge reconstruction and includes the following: Bridge Inspections, Bridge Condition Reports, Survey and Geotechnical Investigations, Environmental Studies, Bridge Design, Roadway Design, Barrier Warrant Analysis, Maintenance of Traffic, Drainage and Utilities, Pavement Marking and Signing, Roadway Lighting, Sustainability Design, Landscaping and Erosion Control, Intelligent Transportation System, Noise Wall Analysis, Construction Scheduling, Engineers Opinion of Probable Construction Cost, Special Provisions, Constructability Review. Services include performing detailed inspections and preparation of Technical Memoranda/Bridge Condition Report of structures including life cycle cost analyses with recommendations for the Tollway’s approval.
