Bowman provided surveying and engineering services for this improvement project including approximately 3,900 lf of divided road construction between Loudoun County Parkway and Hartley Place in Ashburn, VA. The project required phasing to coordinate with adjacent developments and proffer conditions. A roadway design was developed and construction plans were produced. Work included horizontal and vertical roadway design, hydraulic and drainage design, stormwater management, super elevation erosion and sediment control, utility design, and permit processing. Bowman’s survey team performed boundary surveys on the parcels affected by the road expansion, provided topographic mapping for use in the design phase, and established the right-of-way to produce the required dedication plats. Crews also staked the road improvements and provided as-builts as each phase of the project was completed.
