The Mall at Short Hills planned an additional 50,000 sq. ft. expansion to this high-end, regional shopping center. This retail expansion also included an expansion of the existing structured parking on site. Conceptual planning of the structured parking included additional levels on an existing parking structure and the layout of a new parking deck. Design services included rerouting of existing utilities to accommodate the new parking deck, layout of a new restaurant pad site and integration of deck expansion to the existing site facilities. Further, construction sequencing plans were developed to maintain current accessibility and parking supply while construction of the various improvements were underway. This project involved extensive coordination with the mall owner, construction manager, project architect and other design professionals to ensure a comprehensive design.
