Woodland Road Reconstruction

Madison, New Jersey

This two phase road reconstruction project involved approximately 6,600 linear feet of roadway. This roadway traversing a number of collector streets within the Borough, runs adjacent to an active recreational facility and serves as a route for two schools.

As part of the roadway improvements, the vertical alignment of Woodland Road/Samson Avenue was lowered up to two (2) feet to provide a greater sight distance from the Samson Avenue stop sign and to provide for a flatter landing area at stop sign at Samson Avenue.

This project involved the installation of granite block curbing to provide an appropriate pavement width, installation of bike lanes, replacement of sidewalk, drainage and profile improvements, driveway replacement, and milling and resurfacing of the entire length of roadway.
