Lovettsville Post Office
Loudoun County, VA

Currently, Bowman Consulting is providing land survey and preliminary site engineering services for the relocation of the Lovettsville Post Office to a new site.

Scope of services included the establishment of horizontal and vertical GPS control points. A detailed ALTA/ACSM land title survey was performed and depicted the pre-construction condition of the property, existing structures on the site and all adjacent properties within the common boundary line of the 38-acre site. In addition, a detailed topographic survey was prepared on a 3-acre portion of the site. Field run topography was performed and all existing utilities were as-built and documented.

Additional services included review of Town of Lovettsville Zoning Ordinances to establish Site Plan requirements that would affect the size and shape of the ultimate Post Office Lot, preparation of a record plat to create 2 sub-lots, off-site easement plats and all plat and permit processing. Since the project is located within the jurisdiction of Loudoun County but within 1-mile of the Town of Lovettsville boundary, all plats will be submitted to the Town of Lovettsville, referred out to various reviewing agencies, such as Loudoun County and VDOT, and will ultimately be approved by the Town of Lovettsville Planning Commission.
