Civil Engineering Services Term Contract
Loudoun County, Virginia
Bowman Consulting provided civil engineering services under this open-end Engineering Services Term Contract for Loudoun County. This contract was in effect from September 2002 and September 2007 and provided for the performance of various open-ended, task-order-based services for the Loudoun County Department of General Services and other County agencies.
Specific tasks include the following services:
- Site studies and requirements determination
- Feasibility studies
- Studies and audits to determine compliance with
various Federal, state, and local regulations
- Evaluation of site drainage, design of stormwater man-
agement structures
- Preparation of preliminary documents, working draw-
ings, specifications, and construction cost estimates
- Utilization studies, on-site surveys, and evaluation of
existing sanitary sewage facilities
- Traffic control studies and evaluations
- Additional civil engineering services as directed
Completed five task orders include the following:
- Bowman Consulting designed the site plan for the temporary fire and rescue facility located in the South Riding community of Loudoun County. The facility comprised a 3,360 square feet crew quarters and a 70’ X 40’ pre-tensioned apparatus bay.
- Bowman Consulting provided engineering and surveying services for the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services Cardinal Industrial Park shop site build out. This task order included preparation of an existing conditions map and evaluation of site development options for the proposed maintenance shop.
- Bowman Consulting has completed a task order to prepare construction plans for approximately 1,750 linear feet of sidewalk along Middlefield Drive.
- Bowman Consulting designed a combination gravity sewer and low pressure sewer system to serve 11 homes in the Willisville community of Loudoun County. This task order includes subcontracting a pretreatment system with a drip disposal drainfield.
