Wakefield High School

Bowman Consulting’s services were retained to provide surveying and civil engineering services for the expansion and renovation of Wakefield High School, part of the Arlington County Public School System.
Scope of services included full topographic and boundary surveys for the project site, in addition to the development of a detailed feasibility study to determine the final nature of the required improvements and expansion. In accordance with the Modified Use Permit process for schools, and in general conformance with the requirements for Arlington County Administrative Regulation 4.11, the required Use Permit documents were prepared.
In addition, the entire project was developed in accordance with LEED standards. Bowman Consulting’s team of engineers, planners, and environmental scientists attended LEED coordination meetings with the design team and incorporated LEED and LID design features where possible. Finally, our team provided the required design documentation and submission materials for LEED certification and provided assistance with LEED submittals.
