Town of Vienna, VA
Bowman Consulting was retained for this streetscape and pedestrian improvement project in downtown Vienna to provide preliminary and final engineering services, landscape architecture, complete field survey, right-of-way plats and acquisition assistance, final design, project construction assistance, extensive public involvement, and other duties related to reconstructing Maple Avenue W. The project is federally funded and follows the federal enhancement guidelines. Bowman’s scope of services includes comprehensive streetscape enhancement, significant overhead utility undergrounding, storm drain utility analysis and design, a full topographic and property survey, and comprehensive easement and entitlement services.
Working with the Town, Bowman will prepare a streetscape plan and supporting engineering documents that will establish clear design alternatives for the West Maple Avenue corridor; further the “sense of community” and reinforce the Town’s distinctively small town identity; advance economic opportunities; and propose sensible implementation strategies.
