The S Street project involves the preservation of the historic Whitman-Walker Clinic as well as the redevelopment of the remainder of the block with residential and retail along the 14th Street corridor in NW. The project involved extensive coordination with DC WASA and DDOE to ensure proper infrastructure upgrades to support the project. In addition, the project required extensive coordination with DDOT to ensure proper coordination with the 14th Streetscape Enhancement plans.
Bowman Consulting utilized survey scanning technology to develop detailed models of the existing historic building for restoration purposes. Bowman also handled all streetscape and landscaping requirements for the project including significant plazas and balconies.
