A Quick History of a Rapidly Growing Firm
Bowman Consulting is one of the fastest-growing engineering firms in the mid-Atlantic region. Established in Fairfax in 1995 with an initial staff of five, the firm now has over 250 professionals working in ten regional offices.
We facilitate a broad range of development activities by providing Civil Engineering, Planning, Landscape Architectural, Surveying, Environmental, and Geothermal to land owners, builders, developers, state agencies and retail, health and educational institutions. Our proficiencies with jurisdictional matters and our network of high level relationships allow us to meet our clients' needs with unrivaled speed and efficiency. What's more, our integrated structure allows us to provide responsive, innovative solutions that are more cost-effective than using multiple consultants.
Bowman Consulting's growth has been organic and as a result of various acquisitions. In 1998, we opened our first regional office in Leesburg. Subsequently, we have opened regional offices in Alexandria, Fredericksburg, Winchester, Prince William, and Richmond, Virginia; in Annapolis and Rockville, Maryland; and in Martinsburg, West Virginia
